How About a Four Week Paid Trip to Brazil?

Chelan Rotary will be sponsoring a Group Study Exchange (GSE) Team member who will be headed to District 4600 in Brazil. Chelan Rotary has never before sponsored a GSE Team Member so now is the time for a young professional from the Chelan Valley to have this unique, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. The exchange will be from April 23, 2012 through May 20, 2012, all at the expense of Rotary. A team of five, led by a Rotarian Team Leader, will tour Brazil, stay with Rotarians, share knowledge with professional counterparts and make presentations about our country and culture to Rotary clubs and other groups. So what is the catch?

Launched in 1965, this dynamic program has built a successful track record at the personal, community, and international level. With good planning, a goal-driven itinerary, and active participation of dedicated Rotarians, a GSE can be an exceptional educational experience. The GSE program is designed to develop professional and leadership skills among young adults, so that they can address the needs of their communities and an increasingly global workplace.

Who is eligible to apply? To be a candidate for a GSE team, you must be between the ages of 25 and 40 at the time of application, a United States citizen, and you cannot be a Rotarian, or related to a Rotarian.

Sound interesting to you? Would you like an application? Applications for Team Members are being accepted untilSeptember 30th, 2011 with Team Member interviews held on October 29th. If interested, or for more information, please contact Chelan Rotary President Lester Cooper at (425) 319-1278 or by email at lester.cooper@chelanrotary.org.
